This is a high quality kettle with great design and very precise temperature settings. I checked the water temp with my Thermapen One thermometer a couple times and it was always within one degree. The beauty of the walnut handle is worth the extra $$. The ergonomics are really good too. As far as being Rebrew? I found one tiny scratch that I haven’t noticed since.

Great kettle, debatably worth premium cost

The good- Love the aesthetics. It looks so good sitting on my counter and I’m proud of the way it looks in my kitchen. It heats pretty quickly, from cold water to boiling in around 2.5 minutes I’d guess. The controls are easy in my opinion—I love how simple it is to use one knob for power, temperature control, and stopwatch. The kettle feels solid and well-built. Pouring offers a nicely controlled stream and it’s weighted very nicely to make it easier. The bad- With regular use water can get into the inside of the lid, and I don’t want to leave it in there for fear of corrosion, so I have to shake it all out which takes forever. Design flaw for sure. Visible scratch near bottom but it’s small and I bought the refurbished model so that’s expected. Two whole lines of pixels on the display are dead, which doesn’t affect function but still a little disappointing. The ugly- You cannot register a rebrew kettle to extend the warranty like you can on other models. Didn’t realize that until I tried, and then read the fine print on the register page. Overall- I recommend if within your budget.
