Wachter's True Gold ... far SUPERIOR to 'chain store' bought seeds!
I planted 100 Wachter's True Gold (dent corn for grinding) a week after planting Ferry-Morse Early Golden Bantam sweet corn. The 'F-M' had only 29% germination AND scrawny plants emerged. Wachter's True Gold had almost 80% ... easy to count from 100 seeds minus the missing spots AND it grew FASTER and HEALTHIER! Both types of corn were planted in the same fashion, EXACTLY! Wachter's True Gold has proved, 'so far anyway'; to be far superior. We'll see what harvest brings and I can update those results when the time comes.
