poor germination
Less than a quarter of the seeds germinated, very disappointing. Those that did sprout are not growing well.

Thought these were bush plants
I bought these for friend of my wifewho had not been able to find thesein our area and wanted to grow them for herself. When the seeds came in I checked them and kept 5 seed for my self. I'm not a fan of cowpeas. I planted my 5 seeds on 05/07/2025. She planted hers about a week later. Her's were consumed by birds. My 5 germinated but only 4 survived. I have harvested over 50 seeds from these 4 plants. The problem is that all 4 plants grew up my 5 ft trellis and over into my neighbours yard. they intertwined with my winter squash that was growing up the trellis. These are not "bush" plants. My wife's friend is unable to reach up that high. They are prolific and handled the hea in my garden well. I would not have bought these if I had known that they were "pole" cowpeas.

Very pleased
with the pink eye purple hull peas. Most germinated and produced a good yield. They were also heat tolerant which is important for growing zone 8B. These peas will get double the garden space next year based on their performance in 25.
