Great helmet

It's a great helmet and it's super light! I had the Gen 2 before this and it is a night and day difference. I was just kind of bummed when I got it and it came with a classic buckle for the chin strap instead of the magnetic pull tab. I really did like the magnetic pull tab and was hoping to get that on the chin strap.

Forgot it was on.

I've worn a lot of different ballistic helmets through the years in the Corps in different units and now as a LEO. Had my new ATELite on the other day working the shield on entry into a trailer in 95⁰ and completely forgot I had it on throughout, until debriefing. No slipping from sweaty pads or soaking pads I needed to air out later. The lattice padding is genius and extremely comfortable. I was very skeptical when I first got it, from using a TW lid. But this helmet is amazing. I'm glad they switched out the magnet clasp for a standard, I'm just used to OG. The MLOK rails are different but pretty much all accessories now come with MLOK options. Lastly, HHVs customer service was top shelf. I needed a smaller size and they got it out to me asap and took back the large w/ zero issue. I've already suggested it to a couple of the guys. I told them, in today's world of LE, put a price on your life, and if it's more than $1,200 than CC it and tell your wife it's cheaper than a funeral.

Fantastic helmet

Wore the helmet for 7 hours on swat training. No hot spots, fits good. Only gripes are the chin straps don’t get as tight as I would like.
