you have to try this!
I'm less experienced with ripe puers than other styles but this might be my favorite that I have tried thus far. It is super clean tasting with none of the funkiness that historically turned me off. Flavor wise I get strawberries and cream, baked pastries, vanilla, cocoa, and the classic ripe puer earthiness. Was a medium thickness I would say, and caffeine level was not as strong as some ripes which was a plus for me since I'm sensitive. If you think ripe puers are not for you I think this is the tea to change your mind (at least it was for me.) Will probably be splurging on a full cake eventually.

Interesting stand out Shou
I really like this tea! I ordered a sample to see if I want to buy a cake and I think I'm going to go for it. It has a unique flavor that's hard to describe and is not the typical 'ah, this is Shou' taste- which is also enjoyable, but when you are looking for something a bit different, and you know that will only develop more with aging, I think this hits that spot perfectly. Looking forward to getting a whole cake.

yes indeed
this tea had some solid chi for the price with a dense, forest like brew. This chi hung on will the 5 or 7th pot; well worth the money
