My new favorite!
I've always liked Columbian coffee first, and all other coffees second. I was curious about Ethiopian coffee, so I tried Forbidden Fruit. I have a new favorite coffee! This stuff is amazing!

Can't Get Enough!
This low oxygen (anaerobic) fermentation Ethiopian coffee offers the expected elegance of Ethiopian coffees and something extra - deeply complex flavor. It's truly the best of old world and new world profiles in one cup - a blessing from on high 🌤️

Terrific Coffee
Since I discovered Mad Priest Coffee I have ordered whole beans in 2 pound bags for my daily pick-me-up. Mostly Heretic Blend, Dark Night of the Soul or (this last order) Washed Huila. I will also order smaller bags of their curated beans which are smaller, more exotic varieties from small collectives or co-ops around the world. The Forbidden Fruit was one of these. I found this coffee to be light, bright and complex but not “too much”. I use a slightly sweet non-dairy creamer and the flavor profile that the creamer brought out was berry and chocolate if I recall correctly.
I trust Mad Priest to find ethically sourced beans and to treat the growers as true partners. That allows me to enjoy my cup without the bitter taste of colonial oppression that is too often included in corporate beans. Keep up the great work Mad Priest! You’ve made a convert in me.
