Great Klos Carbon Fiber Mandolin

The Klos team was awesome, meeting all the challenges with rapid replies & solutions! This new mandolin checks all the boxes- very good fit & finish, great (& loud) tone- I don't need to amplify it to cut through when playing with an acoustic group, & everyone loves the tone! The action is fast & low with the narrow string spacing (I use D'addario light guage NBM1038), it feels similar to my Weber Galatin. Plugged in it sounds very good, & it has good tonal range with the built in pre-amp. The preamp auto-mutes when tuning, which is a nice feature! It should be noted that the active preamp does interfere with with wireless systems (typical & common) so the plain piezo pickups (no preamp) are the way to go for a wireless setup currently. The all black Ratio tuners are some of the best tuners I have ever used, & are great for the mandolin, with easter, more accurate tuning. This mandolin stays in tune longer, over a wider environmental range, which really makes playing more enjoyable & less work. All in all this mando is everything I hoped for. Ian, Adam, & the close team have done it again, = a great new mandolin!
