Excellent Light Bulbs

I purchased these Nanoleaf Matter over Thread bulbs to replace Matter over Wi-Fi bulbs on the front of my garage. The bulb farthest from the router was frequently disconnecting and I was hoping the Thread network would prevent that from happening. They have worked great. It was easy to set them up using the Nanoleaf app, During the setup they also automatically connected to my Google Home app without problems. The farthest bulb has not disconnected once since I set them up, This confirmed what I hoped, that the Thread mesh network allowing the bulbs closer to the router to act as mesh extenders so that farthest bulb only needed to connect to the next closest bulb and not all the way back to the router as it did for the Matter over Wi-Fi bulb.

Great bulbs. Some people do not give it high marks but everyone needs to make sure they have a very good infrastructure with IP 6 enabled on the router.

Nice bulbs for fair price

Easy to set up. Standard color lighting is not as punchy or bright as we’d hoped, but it doesn’t have to be. Circadian rhythm lighting is where the bulbs really shine. If you have lines or shapes from Nanoleaf, you might be expecting an excellent scenes support for the bulbs like those lines and shapes, but the bulbs aren’t quite so intuitive, nor can some bulb scenes be set from Apple Home App, unlike lines and shapes. I wish there was more feature parity and support between those products as I expected. Otherwise, can’t really beat the price and they do the job pretty good. I point out the things I wish I knew before, but I overall like them, will keep them, and enjoy them.
