Edge Pieces

I think the edge pieces are great if you don't have a tiny demon kitten, like I do. I found that she was trying to chew on the foam and the edge pieces provided easy access to her, so I ended up opting for the hard plastic edges instead. But if your pet isn't intent on putting everything new in their mouth like my kitten is, these are a good option!

Edge pieces help protect the board especially from my enthusiastic boys and prevent them from wanting to chew or play with the notches.

One of our kitties took interest in the puzzle connectors that protrude from the edge. The edge pieces really helped deter her from chewing on the bits! We needed to air the edges out for a few days outside because they smelled very strong. That helped and the girls are unfazed!
