I bought this book as a companion to the first book “Beyond the Basics”. It gives me more opportunities to practice ‘going beyond’! It has a wonderful format mirroring the first book. One might as well buy both together. Thanks to Folkcraft for stocking so many dulcimer books and for giving such good samples of tab in each book as well as written description of each book.

Great book. This is a complementary book to Linda’s other book “Beyond the Basics: An Intermediate Course for Mountain Dulcimer”. Linda does a great job of laying out the music to develop and build skills in the player. I recommend this book to those who want to take your playing to the next level.
