My mistake I ordered the wrong style axle return instructions easy to undrstand. Bill returned my call and had a pleasant conversation. I currently have Burley axles on seven of my bikes and plan on ordering another after I get a bike I have on order. Really pleased with my COHO single wheel trailer.

Nice axle for an awesome trailer

Put this axle on an ebike to tow the Coho XC around for trail work. Loaded with a chainsaw, water, fuel, bar oil and snacks it tracks surprising well on trails.

Makes trail maintenance easier

I bought this to help me transport chain saw and related tools while working on local mountain bike and hiking trails. In the past five months I’ve used it more times than I can count. Here are some things I noticed; Easy to connect. Balance is very sensitive when parked while loaded and connected to the bike. Trying to backup to turn is like doing it with a small trailer behind your vehicle. Easy to jackknife the Burley on tight single-track. Sometimes easier to pickup the Burley and manhandle it into position. With 25 pounds of chainsaw and related wedges fuel, etc my bike definitely handles different till I get used to it. Tools ride securely with bungee net that’s included with the Burley. Exposed anodized aluminum frame scrapes easily if metal tool is in contact while riding. I covered exposed aluminum frame with either old rubber inner tubes or heat sensitive plastic as protection. The cords that hold the safety pins break or wear easily. I replaced the cord with parachute cords which are stronger. The Burley trailer and the necessary thru axle are not cheap. However, they make it easier for me to conduct trail maintenance in Florida. I’d recommend to others.
