This was my first purchase of the Roper style and I was not sure about the low heel and built up sole, but after wearing all day I got used to them. As usual, a perfect fit on the size! Excellent quality!

Dressy boot

The Stead is a different style of what I usually wear from Lucchese. With a shorter heel and thicker layered sole your step feels more "flat", but in a good way. The last is also a bit wider. I usually wear a 9-1/2 in Lucchese and ordered this the same. I had to add an insole to tighten things up. Very dressy look with the color combinations of an olive green top with Italian chocolate vamps. Not an everyday boot for me, but a nice show off but for special days.
