Good quality, well-cleaned, and tasty calamari

It's been many a long year since we lived in Alaska and had frequent access to fresh seafood. Sizzlefish now provides us with a variety of good quality seafood. The calamari we ordered this month arrived and after thawing in the fridge we enjoyed two very generous meals of the delicacy. We used to buy it fresh from the fishing boats. This is so much easier as the process of cleaning the tiny squid can be tedious. This package contained very well cleaned squid "tubes and tentacles" that merely required thawing and cooking. I did soak them in buttermilk and egg for approx 1 hour before draining the liquid and coated them with a slightly peppery mixture of flour with seasonings and frying them. We very much enjoyed the meal. We are pleased with the opportunity to once more have seafood on a regular basis.

We purchase this calamari often. Always nicely cleaned, tender when cooked and a great way to whip up a quick meal.
