Almost instant satisfaction, and so many uses

I bought a bunch of the gold/mustard colored coasters to take on a cross country road trip. (Don't worry about the packaging, easy to follow diagrams explain the direction to stitch to help control tension issues.) They take up practically no space, so they travel well. They also stitch up fast, so satisfaction of finishing a project is almost instantaneous. Then the real fun begins - how to use them. They work really well for larger projects. I found rolls of Japanese fabric and plan to use the coasters as centers of a rustic block quilt. Of course, they also make beautiful coasters.

Beginner friendly

This is an easy project if you want to try out sashiko. The instructions are clear and in English. Not the usual purple but works as a neutral and is lovely with many colors of thread. I used my own backing fabric which worked out great!
