Super disappointed in these

I bought these after seeing all the glowing reviews. I don't know if I just got defective ones or what, but these aren't even useable. The inner and outer hoops are deformed and even when I tighten them all the way, there's still a gap. The hardware on one is attached in such a way that there is extra wood on both ends that prevent me from tightening it all the way. There's no way to tighten any of them enough to hold fabric taut. For the money, I should have gone with Nurge.
