Essex Yarn Dyed - Flax (E064-1143)

Excellent fabric

I’ve used this fabric a few times now for surface embroidery projects, particularly with wool (crewel). It works really well for those projects since it’s a thicker feel fabric. A little difficult to see through to trace, but not terrible. I’d like to buy this in another color as well, but liked the natural color for my flower crewel work.

Favorite Embroidery Fabric

This fabric is by far my favorite to use for embroidery - it has a good weight and keeps its shape while still being flexible. I highly recommend this for folks who do layered embroidery and thread painting in particular.

Great fabric for embroidery. It has a nice weight to it, the needle and thread glides through, and it washes well. I look forward purchasing more colors.
