Custom Sport Leashes + Long Lines - Medium Dogs (1/2" Width)

I love these leashes and the ladies who own HTH. The color selection is great, the quality is so, so good, customer service is super responsive, and most importantly, they advocate for dogs. Enrichment, ethical training and welfare are a part of everything they do, and I am so glad there are stores like this one that align with my training ethics.

Freedom with Backup

We ordered a custom 15-foot biothane long line from High Tail Hikes for our puppy, and it’s quickly become one of our most-used pieces of gear. We use it for recall practice, letting her drag it during play for that “freedom with backup” feeling, and on hikes where we want to give her room to explore without fully unclipping. It’s been a perfect middle ground between a standard leash and true off-leash time. The biothane has been excellent. It doesn’t absorb water, mud wipes right off, and it hasn’t picked up that gross wet-dog-leash smell. It feels durable but not stiff, and it doesn’t burn your hands the way some long lines can when a young dog decides to test her speed. The hardware feels solid and secure. What I appreciate most is that it feels thoughtfully made. It’s simple, clean, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do — no gimmicks, just a well-built tool that holds up to real use. Would absolutely order from High Tail Hikes again.
