Went with the 5.5 kw unit for a client’s pool house. Picked up two for a bathroom and kitchenette. The instructions call for 12 awg wiring, but to pass code, had to go up to 10 awg wiring. The units are small, easy to install, and easy to operate. Also couldn’t beat the price. I was surprised with how well they work. Ground water in Central Ohio is around 52 -55 degrees. I was able to get water temp of 110 on the smaller bathroom faucet and up to 104 on the kitchen faucet, with a higher flow rate.

I was able to get the 210V version only because I had a spare 30amp circuit available to me only 20' away from the 1st floor kitchen sink cabinet with basement access. It couldn't have worked out better. The unit operates as advertised and we have hot water within seconds of turning on the faucet. The only complaint comes from the spouse who is not accustomed to having to mix in some cold water when doing dishes! The installation of the unit was straight-forward and pleasantly violated the rule of "Any plumbing job requires a minimum of 3 trips to the hardware store." I was able to do it in one.
