Unable to unscrew old filter

I am unable to unscrew old filter basket to replace with new. Tried many remedies found online, and it will not budge.

Fine filter; more delivery options

The filter is good but I would like to have had the option to ship it USPS, not UPS. WHY? USPS delivers every day and should be used for small packages instead of sending it by an on demand delivery system like UPS, FedEx, etc.
