We recently had a DNA test done through Embark for our rescue dog Ripley. The entire process was quick and easy from start to finish. Results

She was exactly what I was told she was, with a surprising bit of Australian shepherd. That little bit plus the border collie in her mix, explains her unending desire to chase a ball. Now we are trying 'time outs' to rest her. It's not going well, she is relentless. Her mother is a golden lab, but only her ears glow orange in the sunlight.

Embark DNA Revealed Our Rescue's Birth Mother!

I was impressed with Embark on identifying breeds, characteristics, and close relatives with our first doggie. This time, Embark also found our rescue's birth mother and allowed contact with her owner. We now know a lot more about our pup, as well as a health risk for her. I'm totally sold on Embark!!
