Not really a fan of this design in general

These 3 piece missing links are little more finicky to install. Difficult by no means, but harder to line up and less fool proof than the two piece missing link designs. I'm not sure of any performance difference, but if you're installing a missing link under any kind of time constraint/pressure, the two piece designs are better. If you're doing this in a shop it's probably all the same, but outdoors this 3 piece design is a little harder to see what you're doing, and it's a little easier to drop something that might be hard to find on the ground.
