Good mandolin

Works like a mandolin should. The grippy thing is helpful for keeping fingers safe. Took me a bit to get used to. I had a little trouble getting used to the right speed and pressure to use to get consistent even slices, especially in soft things like tomato. Chalk it up to learning curve.

Only one critique…

The gripper is absolutely amazing. It’s well designed and stows away thoughtfully. Only critique is the flex at the maximum slice setting. While pressing down, it flexes enough to allow the julienne blades to pass through at the beginning of the cut, then pressure eases making a thinner cut. The result is a thick-to-thin slice with a few grooves. Other than that, she’s great!
