Quality Control Issues?

I’m a desk diver — no harsh use, no water, no sports. After just 7–10 days of normal wear, the rubber seams on my HydroFlex strap started flaking and showing signs of delamination. Pretty disappointing for a premium strap I've submitted a warranty claim and hope this is just a QC slip, not a design flaw.
