I bought this for my husband to work on watches. He is happy with this microscope.

Decent optics and a bit of a rough design

This is great for SMT electronics work, I can certainly inspect 0402s with the 20x eyepieces without difficulty and see any issues. I'll probably use the 10x most often for actual solder work. The optics and lamps are great, but the boom hinge design is underwhelming. Hand tightening a stiff lever arm is challenging (really stiff to tighten) and causes the boom arm to twist. It often sags a bit as well. A knob would have been a better choice, as well as a support to prevent the hinged boom from descending below a straight beam. You can't have everything at this price! The styrofoam packing is unfortunate as well.

PCB repair

I needed a way to observe very small smd components. This scope was a godsend.i couldn’t do smd repair without this scope.I highly recommend this scope.
