Leica S6 E Replacement Gear Set

Over priced replacement for defective gears

After multiple emails and phone calls to Leica to narrow down the part number I had issues with I was ultimately provided with the contact info for this licensed rep to order the given part number. It was given as my only option as Leica will not sell directly to end users. I was told by Leica I could buy just the one gear that was defective - a normal problem with the S6E model that is old and no longer under warranty. Microscope Central only sells the gear in pairs when only 1 usually goes bad. I was forced to unnecessarily buy both gears. It is sad Leica customer service and parts supply was not more accommodating. That said, this is the replacement for the S6E internal gears that usually split.
