I bought this because my calico cat is overweight. Based on your information this food is recommended for overweight cats. Well she loves it and so does my fit cat. It’s too soon to tell if she is losing weight but the good news is that she eats it by choice over her former food. So I am happy with it. It is a very healthy mix.

It’s supposed to be a premium product, yet it has thickeners. Premium products do not need thickeners, like gums, starches, tapioca, etc.

My finicky cats sort of like it(?)

Both of my cats are very picky eaters. They will “nibble” on this food but not with great abandon. I appreciate the great quality of the cat food and the integrity of the company itself, but I won’t be purchasing another bag. Back to square one!
