HyperDrive 4K Multi-Display Docking Station For 13”-14” MacBook Pro

The actual docking station works great with all my fixed cables, but docking and undocking is a bit tedious because the double USB-C connector cable can be finicky to get aligned so they are all fully inserted.

Great stability & port selection, although port placement is awkward

As a professional Mac consultant, I get to test a ton of USB C hubs. Once Apple Silicon laptops started shipping, we started seeing all sorts of display/wake issues related to USB C hubs. Like it’s 6-in1 “Tube” cousin, this Hyper dock has no compatibility issues that I’ve been able to identify this far. I had been using the Tube model at my desk and bought this unit as a more permanent solution during a recent sale. My main complaint is port layout. If I place it with the ports facing towards the rear of my desk, I can’t easily access the USB and SD ports. So instead, I have the ports facing me. Meaning I have all of the larger more “permanent” cables to deal with. It’s not a deal breaker since the stability is most critical. But I’d love to see something different in terms of ports at both the front and back.

Disappointing

I loved the look of the docking station and had high hopes. From the moment I received it, there were little quirky things that happened with it daily until it finally stopped providing power to my M1 Macbook Pro. Unfortunately for me, I'm past my 30 days for a refund so I submitted a support ticket to get an RMA in hopes to get a replacement. Too bad, I was super excited for this and wish it worked flawlessly.
