Good product.

Clear optics but a little odd view

I bought these to go in the 8x stereo microscope on the gooseneck to swap the 10x eyepieces out to get a lower magnification and wider view. The optics are very clear but you have to hold the object you are viewing closer to the objective and you get this odd artifact that occurs. I am not sure what the optical name of this problem is, but instead of getting a nice solid circular view, you get a little bit of the figure 8 look, the eyepieces don't fully converge into a single circle, they appear to be two circles slightly offset. It isn't too big of a deal but can be distracting when looking around the surface of a coin. The 10x and 15x eyepieces do not have this issue and offer a great viewing experience. I kept these 5x eyepieces even though the view is a little odd.

These are very great eyepieces. The 5x size gives me a much clearer view of my working space as well as offer a comfortable scope for my eyes.
