Amazing sensor

The name contact sensor is an understatement. This should be called ‘multi-sensor’ as it combines contact, motion, light sensors AND a button to activate automation. I use the button to activate exit mode (close curtains, arm and disable air cond automation). Its well thought of design belies very practical functions. Worth every cent.

Enjoyable and functional

The use of AAA's batteries is nice. I am experimenting on one of my unit's with rechargeable AAA's and I haven't had any issues thus far. I think the developer documentation for the Bluetooth LE protocol on GitHub could be expanded on, it is missing some parts. That said, these sensors pack a heap of functionality into a decent form factor with nice packaging and instructions. Nicely done SwitchBot.
