Florence Waterproof - Taupe

A lovely and serviceable boot (The Florence) but unfortunately not for me

The Florence boot is the first Orthofeet product I have tried and it is very handsome and comfortable with lined interior and ample toe area. I had to return it because due to flat feet, arthritis in my feet, and a 3/4” difference in leg length I have to wear custom orthotics and a 3/4 “ lift built into the outer sole of my left shoe. This was a beautiful boot for someone who does not have those foot issues. I went on to order the Dakota boot which is currently in the process of having the 3/4” lift put in left boot sole. Because it is a boot that laces I feel more support around my midfoot and can use my orthotics inside this boot.

Florence Waterproof Boots

I have been looking for winter boots that are warm, waterproof, and do not require tying laces, as tying laces with gloves on or cold hands is difficult. I also have bunions, which make my feet wider, but I have a narrow heel, so most shoes in wide widths are too big for me. I cannot speak to their being waterproof as I have not walked in very wet conditions, but my feet have been warm. The inserts that come with the boots made the fit much better. Without them, I probably would have returned the boots. Overall, I am very happy with them.

Comfortable around town

Very comfortable with the arch insert, but would not want to walk around all day as the body of the shoe doesn't offer much structural support. Perfect for Apres Ski but my feet were a little tired after rushing around in the airport!
