Insteon i3 switches

The i3 switches are sleek and operate great, the downside is the faceplate. I replaced all faceplates with the screwless model for the 65 switches I purchased at an additional charge that I wasn’t expecting. Yet, the new covers still cause problems with the switches as the switch is too tight, rubbing against the screwless frame causing the switch paddle to stick on. I called an electrician (additional cost) and still have half the switches in the house sticking.

First I'd like to say thank you for returning - Insteon is a great plug and play system and I have owned X10 - Smarthome & Insteon for probably over 20 years combined. I value the product. My only concern is cost - It's bad enough to pay nearly $70 for a "switch" but when you pay an additional $10 for $&H and it's not being over-nighted, I foresee a very limited and narrow fan base. In fact, if the cost was less I believe more people would/could partake growing the community bigger. The product is great the cost questionable.

Pleasantly surprised

I purchased some i3 paddles out of curiosity because I am a long-time Insteon enthusiast that needed some more switches. Just when I thought I bought the wrong type I realized you could change between relay and dim. Very cool! The style update and noticably softer "click" to the paddle switch (and the relay) makes me want to swap out my whole house.
