Viking Nordlys Fingering Sock Yarn

I bought two skeins of the Viking Nordlys sock yarn to knit a couple of versions of the Camille Descoteaux Alaska hat. I was looking for sunset and sunrise colors in a yarn with a longer repeat and a good transition between colors (my first yarn choice had too short a repeat). Ravelry had several lovely example projects in the Viking Nordlys so I am giving this a try. The blues and purples are deep and rich and blend nicely from one color to the next. My husband liked the colors so much he’s decided he wants a pair of socks out of the yarn. Oh darn, I will have to buy more yarn!
