ChiaoGoo - Lace - Fixed Circular Needles

Still love wood.

These really are lovely needles. They are smooth and the cords are fabulous. I especially love the cords. However, I find that I am knitting entirely differently with them. I haven't gotten gauge since I started using them. That's a problem. Lots of wasted time trying to accomplish something that seems not to be doable. Also the needle seems "dead" in my hands. It took a while to figure this out but it finally dawned on me that my wood and bamboo needles have a liveliness to them that stainless steel just can't duplicate. So--I am going back to my wood and bamboo needles, specifically the ChiaoGoo bamboo patina line. I get their lovely cords and a quality bamboo needle and, importantly, gauge! Gradually, my Lykke's will be replaced also. The cords are terrible--heavy and stubborn.

The best there is

Chiaogoo are the best needles out there. The cord is incredible doesn’t coil or kink perfectly smooth joins, nice sharp tips so you don’t have to dig for stitches. Highly recommend!!
