Fenix HP16R Rechargeable Headlamp

This is an excellent light with great illumination and features. It is markedly more comfortable than it's predecessor. I love the dual light, spot/ flood, control.

They’re so bright

Bought 4 lights, one running AAA, 2nd on AA, 3rd on 2xAA and 4th a headlamp on rechargeable with alternate for 4xAAAA. Brightest and farthest beam I’ve ever owned, so easy to change intensity, and quick battery swap for instant full power. Finally, FENIX recognizes the value of quick and easily swappable, standard batteries. Thanks FENIX.

Blows away Black Diamond

This is a very well-made light. Yes, plastic but strong and well-designed metal latch. I’ve had probably 4 Black Diamond headlamps and they all break. Plus they can turn on inside my pack. This headlamp has a lockout feature so when I really need it, the batteries won’t be drained. Kind of like wearing a belt and suspenders, I head out with a fully charged Lithium battery but I bring along 4AA batteris as backup. Did I mention that it’s incredibly bright? I can see a moose’s eyeballs glowing at 400 m away. If you go out solo in winter, you need a reliable light that you can literally trust your life on. This light delivers that.
