A Solid Foundation for a Great Antenna

Over the past couple of years I have been experimenting with several different sources of 4G and 5G cellular signals for home internet. It did not take me long to realize that, in my house, which is surrounded by tall trees, it is really necessary to use a good antenna to get a usable signal. I now have three Waveform antennas — a quad mini and two quad pro, larger antennas. I have tried mounting them in several different areas around the house. In order to do that, I have used the Waveform ultra-pole mounting system, which has given me a very solid foundation for mounting each antenna. I also used the Waveform extension pole, which allowed me to mount the quad pro antenna several inches higher, to get a better signal. I am very happy with all of my Waveform purchases.

Raising Antenna to New Heights

I ordered this mount and two extensions in order to raise my WaveForm cellular antenna about four feet from its current position on the side of my house just below the roof line. While I’m waiting for my sons to help me with the installation, I decided to dry-fit assemble the three units on my workbench. One of the extension tubes did not fit into the larger end of the mating tube. There was a raised area on the inside of there larger diameter tube at the weld, and also a bulge in the diameter of the smaller end. After some filing, I was able to get the two pieces to fit together properly, but WaveForm might have a product quality issue to look into. The second extension kit did not have the same issue and mated easily.
