Moondrop Variations Tribrid IEM

Great IEM’s and dealing with issues.

The IEM’s themselves are absolutely amazing and have earned top spot in my IEM’s stable. Two issues 1: The IEM’s aren’t secured for overseas travel as my pair were rolling around in the box smacking into each other..they seem unscathed… 2: The supplied cable on my unit is defective..the multi termination package though is appreciated..it’s the problem on my set..currently in contact with Apos to resolve this issue. As for the customer service ..so far it’s been first rate as this not my first purchase with Apos..and hopefully my issues are resolved. As to how I run my Moondrop Variations..mostly on my IFI Go Blue in balanced mode ( hence why I’m disappointed with the factory cable) In conclusion..buy these IEM’s ..your ears will love you.

Deep, full, and clear

This is my favorite and main set of IEMs, and I've used a lot of IEMs. It's kinda like a Blessing 2, but with a deeper low end that you can actually feel, and a bit less of the highest end to keep things from getting sibilant. It's got a neutral-ish, slightly dark leaning sound overall and I think is definitely a contender for being an end-game IEM if you're into that kind of sound signature.

Great sound, wimpy cable

Make no mistake, the sonics of this earbud are superb! That being said, a little treble extension would make them even better. The cable that is supplied, however, is less than expected from a product in this price category. I had a Euphrosyne(linsoul) cable on hand and immediately replaced the original. The cable is the only reason i gave it 4 rather than 5 stars. The sound tube is large and may give some users discomfort. Very balanced sound with good bottom.
