Jackson Bite FD Fishing Kayak

First kayak purchase

Wife and I had been fishing from float tubes for years, but were always at the mercy of even light wind. We decided to buy a couple of kayaks and decided on Jackson Bites (one paddle & one FD). Although we haven’t got them out on the water yet, we’re confident that we picked the best model to suit our needs. We got great assistance from the folks at EFS in the selection and the entire purchase process.

Loving My Jackson Bite FD So Far

I’ve been using my Jackson Bite FD for a little while now, and it’s been a great kayak overall. The pedal drive is smooth and makes long days on the lake a lot easier, especially when I’m dealing with wind or covering bigger water. The kayak feels really stable, even when I’m moving around or reaching for gear. There’s plenty of deck space to stand, move, and organize everything I need. The seat is decent—not the most perfect fit for me yet, and I’m still trying to find that ideal position—but it’s definitely not uncomfortable or the worst seat out there. Eco Fishing Shop was great to deal with during the purchase. They answered my questions, were easy to work with, and made the whole process simple. Overall, I’m really happy with the kayak and the experience so far.

Perfect kayak for floating and fishing

I was looking for a kayak that I could take on lakes and shallow rivers for fishing. After taking it on a large lake with good-sized waves and then on a couple of spring-fed rivers in central Missouri, it exceeded my expectations. When in shallow water, I can easily pull up the outdrive to avoid hanging up on rocks or trees. Then drop the drive back down to cruise through slower pools. I also get a nice workout paddling. I am totally pleased with my purchase.
