I am a big fan of Sennheiser and I think ie900 can represent the technology of Sennheiser. The bass is good and I really enjoy it. The headphones are light so it is easy to wear and can listen for a long time.

These present awesome clarity across the frequency range, and phenomenal instrument separation. Note that they are veracious, rendering tracks as they were meant to be rendered. For some tracks, I prefer super-punchy, sub-realistic bass; to get it, I use a DAC with bass boost. I first tried using software EQ but could never configure it in a way that sounded better than the IEMs alone. They are that good. And they do get better after a day or so burn-in.
