HIFIMAN EF400 | Desktop DAC and Amp

Amazing value, very satisfied!

Pairing this amp with my Meze Elites is just incredible. Prior, I have heard the Elites on a Cambridge Dacmagic 200m and a FiiO k5pro ess. The sound from this amp is just heavenly paired to the other amps listed. I understand now what they mean regarding soundstage, tonality, depth and so on. So easy to get lost in the music. This really has everything sounding amazing and as I understand it both the cans and the amp will just get better with time. Pros: Amazing R2R sound and price coming from ESS dacs & amps. Everything you need and nothing you don’t if you are simply hooking up to a comp or iPad via USBC. Great packaging for what it is in my opinion, everything appears to be high quality. Cons: I have seen Hifiman around the forums about QC issues on lower end cans so reliability is a concern, especially with flagship headphones attached. If this thing lasts forever, I wouldn’t feel an urge to upgrade as I don’t know how much better this can get! Great experience with Bloom as well, answered my email about a price match way outside of business hours and instantly had a link in my email. Will keep purchasing here for sure!
