These run larger than the Primary stay cool athletic shorts. My 6 year old son is tall and slim, and he's too tall for the 6-7 Primary athletic shorts (they bunch in an uncomfortable looking way when he sits). However, the waists on the 8-9 chinos were huge and I had to set these aside until next summer. The quality seems fine, but may not be a good match for a tall, slim child.

Maybe little snug. But cute and my kid reaches for them every time.

Run big, sized down

These are super cute! My kids are pretty true to size in almost all clothing brands, but these shorts run big. My 4 year old is in a 3 and my six year old is in a 5 in these. They wear normal sizes are Gap, Target, Oahu Kosh, and typically Hanna Andersson.
