Good boot but only zero drop without insole it seems

I have been wearing Outlander, very happily, for a couple of years and so ordered these as a cooler option. The sole was surprisingly moulded and springy and on further investigation I realised it was not zero drop. This is not made clear in the description and I have contacted Lems about this with no response. Lems was my transition brand to barefoot shoes and so I will now be wearing them without insoles when a sturdy walking shoe is required. However, as always, a well made shoe that looks retro and works with jeans as well as on the trail.

These Lems are amazing, been through all the vivo's and vibramff's and nothing has quite suited my needs all round. These tick every box with comfort, shape and features. I think I am going to stock up so that I am never without.

I’ve been wearing these boots literally every single day for the last three months. I wear them predominately for work and woodland walks, but also wore them for walking many miles around London and Bruges. So far they have been brilliant and so comfortable. They’re also holding up really well. No real signs of wear. Even the tread is still in perfect condition and these have been worn on tarmac, cobbles, hard floors, mud, gravel, ice and snow. Ice was the only terrain they weren’t amazing on, although I’ve read other reviews that say that are good on ice. They’ve kept my feet entirely dry and warm. I did go half a size up and they fit perfectly with thick socks. They’re a little roomy with thin socks but I like my shoes to be a little on the looser side. As always Footworks got these sent out super quick.
