Kit is easy to install, make sure you tighten the barb/valve first before installing it on the kettle. Hard to secure the kettle connection and tighten the valve once it is installed. It would be nice if the valve could be disassembled for ease of cleaning.

Easy Install, Didn’t Leak

I upgraded my Kettle Valve to this contraption after my old one began to show rust and corrosion. I was pleased with the ease of install. It initially appeared as if it wasn’t very tight but it didn’t leak on brew day. Re positioning the racking arm is nice when changing between heavy and light hopped beers. It does leave a bit behind at the end of Knock Out but if you have a lot of sediment after your whirlpool then this is a good thing.

The EZ Clean® Kettle Valve Kit with Barb was super easy to install once I cut the opening in my tall boy kettle. It’s definitely worth the extra expense for the contoured fit. Solid valve and no leaks.
