The way the Zero Breeze MK2 works the power supply will not draw enough power to both operate the unit and charge the battery when you’re plugged in. This makes more sense with the car adapter as a car cigarette lighter adapter will only output about 120 watts. The A/C needs up to 240 watts and that’s what the wall adapter supplies (a little over actually) but not much higher watts it would need to charge the battery too. The odd thing is that if you buy two batteries and connect them together, the charger WILL run the A/C and charge both batteries at the same time. Why exactly this is I’m not sure, but having two batteries for the extended run time along with the ability to charge them both while you’re using the unit is a very nice feature. You’ll need to decide if it’s worth $630 to you or not. It was to me, and the batteries are built like a tank as are all of their other products. Every cable is twice as thick as it needs to be and every inverter box is over built. Solid addition.

Power for off-grid AC.
This is my second battery since I shipped one back to Vietnam and couldn’t bring it back to the states since it is 4 times the limit to be a carry-on. Great battery to go along with my ZeroBreeze mark 2, this AC is perfect for the Vietnam heat and humidity. This kept us cool throughout the hot days and we got a lot of compliments and questions from the locals and it’s a great conversation starter.
