Third time is the charm

I bombed out as a budding flautist after 3 weeks of trying in 3rd grade. Fast forward 65 years. I rented a base level flute several months ago (I’m a fiddler who dabbles in Irish whistle) and couldn’t make friends with it. Third time is the charm, they say. This Yamaha with a solid silver headpiece and I made friends immediately. I suspect that the upgraded materials and attention to detail in the manufacturing process make a difference in the ease of playing.

Incredible tone, the sterling silver headjoint alone makes a huge difference. Every note resonates really well across all registers and I recommend this as a step up flute.

I love it. The sound is increadible. I am gettin use to using an open hole flute but so far so good.
