My Favorite Holster

Springfield XD/XD-M Elite 4.5" .45acp OSP OWB Covert Kydex Holster This is by far the best designed, best fitting (gun and me), most stable and comfortable holster I have ever had. The construction is also far and away the best of any kydex holster I have or have seen. I know, all holsters are supposed to provide a custom fit for the firearm you have. But this C&G holster goes beyond any others I have. If you get one, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Another critical fact for me, was that I had been looking for a holster for my XDm for quite some time. Every manufacturer left important questions unanswered and the holsters didn't have the construction of my C&G. My XD has suppressor sights. It was very difficult to tell by looking at some of the offerings out there, if they accommodated tall sights. And again, the web sites weren't clear when trying to order. C&G left no doubt about what I was ordering. And if you've been to their website, you can see a lot about the construction. The actual holster is perhaps even better than it appears on the site. I only have one concern with my holster. It has tiny nodules inside the holster. I believe these might be designed to separate the gun from 100% contact with the kydex. I really don't know. Probably the biggest drawback to kydex holsters is the affect they can have on the gun's finish. My gun has four (two per side) wear marks on the slide, that I don't remember ever being there. Having recently gotten my holster, I haven't carried it any appreciable time, only around the house and yard for a couple of days. The gun has spent most of its time in a bed/mattress holster or the gun cabinet when I'm away from the house. The bed holster doesn't appear to correspond to the slide marks. The marks do correspond to nodules inside the holster. I'm thinking that I will simply polish off those nodules, one at a time, and see if the wear ceases or if other wear begins due to more contact. I'm not super concerned either way. It is a kydex holster and my XD is not exactly a collector piece. It's a tool. A little burnishing is not a big deal. Having said all that, despite the wear question, I'm absolutely getting another one for my Hellcat, which is my EDC.

I’m extremely happy with the OWB Covert. Fits my XDM Elite 10mm perfectly, and arrived quickly. I’ll be buying the chest holster next.

Quality Holster

This holster greatly exceeded may expectations. I was just looking for a holster to fit my firearm, but found one of the most comfortable holsters I've ever worn.
