It's a $250 Paperweight
I almost never write reviews, because I honestly can't be bothered. But my experience with this Docking Station and with Hyper as a company has motivated me to vent. I ordered this because I wanted to set up a workstation where I could easily switch between my Windows laptop for work, and my kids' Chromebooks for school. Unfortunately, the product has never seemed to work right with either my work laptop or the Chromebooks. There's a significant flickering issue with my monitor that's gotten worse over time, and it doesn't charge my Windows laptop. I've now replaced this with a $25 USB Hub I bought off Amazon because I literally could no longer do my job with my computer plugged in to this docking station. What's worse is that I've submitted several support tickets to Hyper regarding the issue, and as far as I can tell, they couldn't care less. I got a response to the first ticket I submitted suggesting that the problem was that the USB-C ports on the laptops were the source of the issues. I tested them with other docks and in other configurations. They're all fully functioning USB-C ports that support video and power delivery. I've resubmitted two more support tickets, and after weeks of waiting, I haven't gotten any response. I'd be OK if they told me there was some sort of known issue and they're working on a firmware update or something like that, but I've gotten nothing in return. At this point, the silence speaks volumes. I'm guessing that since my return window has closed, they no longer care about solving my issue. It's just tremendously disappointing. I waited for this to be released because it seemed to fit my needs perfectly, and Hyper has completely and utterly failed to stand by their product.

Good overall
Good product in term of functionality, works well on any kind of OS and usb-c platform you'll throw at it. Just a bit cheap plastics and conception not on par with same priced concurrent dock.

The Hyperdrive 14-port is the best dock I've used for Chrome OS
It's amazing how many ports this thing has! After searching for so long for a good Chrome OS dock I think I've found the best one. PROs: - Detachable USB-C host cable. Makes it easier to set it up and longer lasting. - 3 video outputs make it really futureproof. - Firmware upgrades that require no 3rd party software and can be done with Chrome OS. CONs: -The power output is enough for most Chromebooks and Chromeboxes but it may lack power to drive and charge other devices.
