ShengShou 6-Layer Pyramid Tower

Super Disappointing

Within a couple of minutes of being opened by my grandson, this pyramid cubicle fell apart. He has had several Cubicle cubes in the past and is twelve years old. This could not have been his fault. This happened with the family gathered around the Christmas tree. I have the box and all the parts, but I have not yet figured out how to return it and receive a refund.

doesn't really look or turn that great

the exposed internals ruin the look and the highest layer on each face that turns is tough to turn compared with all the others. would only really recommend to someone completing a series or collection, otherwise there are many better puzzles to get.

Finally a decent higher order pyramid puzzle

I have the 5-layer pyramid and loved it so I had to get this one. Definitely a bit more challenging. The centers are the trickiest part I think and there's also edge parity that can happen, so those instructions that are at the bottom of the box that you usually throw away...you might want to keep them. The outer layers turn great and the smaller inner layer is OK. It's well constructed and I love that it's stickerless. I've had a blast figuring this thing out. I recommend getting the 5-layer tower first though because this is like a harder version of that.
