Easy-to-Spin® Green Cotton Sliver

Green cotton sliver

It is as advertised - east to spin. I bought it to take with me to a monastery where I'll be in residence for 6 months. It travels well, even crushed into a suitcase. I plan to spend a few minutes each day during my break spinning with a tahkli spindle to re-enter myself.

Surprising cotton

I was taken aback at how white the sliver was and thrilled at the beautiful celery color that emerged when we cooked it with baking soda. This roving IS easy to spin and so clean and consistent in its thickness. I can’t wait to use it in future weavings.
