Le Gros Silk & Mohair

Unfortunately, I can’t share any photos yet, as I used this yarn for a secret project :) But honestly, knitting with it was pure happiness! It feels incredibly soft and airy in the hands and creates such a light, and airy fabric. The yarn is smooth and fluffy at the same time, but without being overly fuzzy. When you look at it closely, it has a lovely structure that makes the finished fabric feel really special. It makes you definitely slow down and simply enjoy the knitting process itself. I think it may honestly be the softest yarn I’ve ever worked with.

I've been really curious about this yarn and I'm glad that I found the perfect project to be able to test it. It's silk & mohair but I find it quite different from the thinner version. It feels way more silky, mostly because the silk core is thicker. The drape is beautiful, the fabric had a subtle shine but not too much because the fluff of the mohair makes it less obvious. I've never worked with a similar yarn before, mostly because I haven't found one. The colours are stunning too. I can't attest for the durability of this yarn yet thought, but I love how my project looks and feels !
