The waist brand string is very poorly designed, and broke after two or three wears. They also have a very odd fit. Much better shorts out there for $50

Great shorts, size up to be safe.

I’m a 6’2, 225ish, intermediate/late novice lifter (since everyone here trains) bought a size large, should have got an xl but they still work great for upper body and working around the house.
